Our Story
True Essence of Lebanese Hospitality
In the heart of historic Old Town Alexandria, The Pita House is a family-owned neighborhood restaurant. The Pita House was born of a simple idea to serve authentic Mediterranean dishes, using fresh ingredients with friendly service. In 1984, our family came to the United States, leaving behind a Lebanon in the midst of civil war.
The Pita House opened in 1992, fulfilling our father’s life-long dream of opening a restaurant specializing in Lebanese cuisine, using our mother’s recipes.
We have a full menu featuring a large selection
of meat and vegetarian dishes.
We remain committed to serving our guests
authentic Mediterranean food at reasonable prices.
Our father passed away June 8, 2000.
We carry on in his tradition.
